Abstract This Regional Law regulates timber extraction, procurement and harvesting of non-timber forest resources, edible forest resources and medicinal plants by citizens for individual personal needs, hunting and establishes exceptional cases of timber extraction for public and municipal needs in accordance with purchase and sale contracts of forest species. Citizens shall procure timber in accordance with purchase and sale contracts of forest species concluded following the modalities established by the regional government. Application for sale of timber must specify the purpose of use and the amount of requested timber (art. 5). Procurement of edible non-timber forest resources shall be carried out manually without use of mechanical means (art. 7). Forest parcels allotted for keeping and breeding of wild fauna species destined for hunting under semi-captive conditions or in artificial habitats must be fenced, equipped with feeding grounds, feedboxes, covers and observation points (art. 8).
