This Regional Law enters into force on 1 March 2009.
Abstract

Discounted meals shall be intended hot meals provided on a preferential basis in educational institutions of St. Petersburg, including breakfast and (or) lunch, the rations of which are formed in accordance with the methodology approved by the Government of St. Petersburg for the formation of diets and the range of food products intended for organizing preferential meals, including the selection, acceptance of food products and raw materials used for food preparation. The provision of reduced-price meals is carried out at the request of parents (legal representatives) of schoolchildren and students of vocational schools who are entitled to reduced-price meals. Schoolchildren and students of vocational schools who are entitled to reduced-price meals, who have reached the age of 18 and are capable, apply for the provision of reduced-price meals on their own.
