Abstract This Regional Law regulates the relations concerning keeping regional Red Book of protected, endangered and rare wild fauna and wild flora species. Information contained in Red Book and related to every single specie must contain the following data: (a) Russian and Latin name of species; (b) category of rarity, status of species; (c) brief description of biology, population and habitat; (d) main limiting factors; (e) undertaken protection measures; and (f) sources of information. Species populating regional territory and recorded in the National Red Book must be also inserted in the regional Red Book. Publication of the regional Red Book shall be performed once in 10 years.
