Abstract This Regional Law determines general legal, economic and social basis and unified organizational principles for veterinary activity. Basic tasks of veterinary shall be as follows: (a) prevention and liquidation of dangerous animal diseases, including livestock, pets, companion animals, zoo animals, fur-bearing animals, fishes and bees; (b) training of veterinary specialists; (c) enforcement of veterinary legislation; (d) protection of the regional territory against introduction of animal diseases; and (e) performance of state veterinary supervision.
