Abstract This Regional Law establishes cases of the preferential right of acquisition of agricultural land plots by municipal entities located on the regional territory to ensure the vital functions of the population of the municipal entity and to resolve issues that local self-government bodies are entitled to resolve independently. In the process of preferential purchase of agricultural land local government bodies shall purchase at the selling price except for case of sale through public auction. Local government bodies shall have preferential right of purchase of agricultural land shall be performed in the following cases: (a) if in accordance with land-use planning documentation on the above-mentioned plot of land is envisaged location of site for disposal and processing of domestic and non-domestic waste; and (b) if in accordance with land-use planning documentation on the above-mentioned plot of land is envisaged location of cemeteries, water treatment facilities and sources of potable water supply.
