Abstract This Regional Law establishes that citizens shall have the right for timber extraction of forest species for individual personal needs in accordance with felling authorization and purchase and sale contract of forest species growing in public forest. Rates of timber extraction shall be established as follows: (a) for individual housing construction – up to 100 cubic metres once in fifty years; (b) for repairs and reconstruction of housing facilities – up to 20 cubic metres once in ten years per family; (c) fuelwood for heating – up to 20 cubic metres annually. Regional authorities shall establish annually total allowable standing timber for timber extraction in accordance with forest organization and management plans.
