Abstract The present Regional Law regulates relations originating from study, stock enhancement, management and conservation of fishery resources, and conservation and improvement of their natural habitats. The purpose of the present Regional Law is to ensure stock enhancement, rational use and conservation of fishery resources and their natural habitats, scientifically substantiated management of fishery resources, economic stimulation of the development of fisheries as traditional activity, maintenance of biodiversity and ensuring stable, maximum total allowable catch on the regional territory.
