Abstract This Regional Law regulates some issues related to turnover of agricultural land, including agricultural land parcels and agricultural land shares in common ownership of agricultural land. It shall not be applicable to agricultural land parcels allotted to citizens for subsidiary smallholding, gardening, horticulture and cattle breeding. Authorized regional institution in the sphere of agricultural land turnover shall have the following competence: (a) acceptance, registration and examination of applications for allotment of agricultural land; (b) decision-making of tenders for sale or lease of agricultural land; and (c) purchase into state ownership parcels of agricultural land. Minimum land area of newly consolidated agricultural land shall be 5.0 ha, maximum agricultural land area that can be owned by a single natural or legal person shall not exceed 20 percent of total agricultural land area available on regional territory at the moment of allotment or purchase.
