Abstract This Regional Law regulates the issues of nature management related to mining and extraction of common widespread minerals and also water management, calculation and collection of water charges for management of waterbodies. Concession of public land parcels for extraction of common widespread minerals shall be carried out through tenders by the outcome of which authorized regional state institution in the sphere of ecology and nature management shall issue subsoil management licence. Mineral extraction shall be authorized exclusively after state assessment of mineral deposits. The following types of water management shall require payment of water charges: (a) water abstraction; and (b) management of surface waterbodies of parts thereof.
