Abstract This Regional Law establishes that citizens shall have the right for timber extraction of forest species for individual personal needs for housing construction, reconstruction and heating in accordance with purchase and sale contract of forest species without tender and without allotment of forest parcels. Rates of timber extraction shall be set forth by the regional administration. The period of validity of timber extraction authorization shall not exceed 12 months. Rates of timber extraction shall be established as follows: (a) for housing construction – up to 50 cubic metres per family once in 50 years; (b) for repairs and reconstruction of housing facilities – up to 20 cubic metres once in 15 years; and (c) fuelwood for heating – up to 10 cubic metres annually.
