This Regional Law enters into force 10 days after the date of its official publication.
Abstract

This Regional Law establishes that citizens shall have the right of free stay in forests for the purpose of procurement of non-timber forest resources, except for timber extraction of fir trees (spruce) and other coniferous forest species for New Year festivities, free of charge for individual personal needs. It shall be applicable to non-edible non-timber forest products. Regional forest service shall supply to citizens information related to forest parcels available for procurement and harvesting of non-timber forest products and on areas prohibited for procurement of non-timber forest products. Collection of non-timber forest products recorded in the Red Book of protected and endangered plant species and on the territory of protected areas shall be prohibited. Stay of citizens on forests for procurement and harvesting of non-timber forest products can be restricted or prohibited in accordance with Forest Code.
