Abstract This Regional Law establishes the basic guidelines for agricultural development. The main directions of state policy in the sphere of agricultural development shall be as follows: (a) improvement of efficiency of the production of agricultural commodities; (b) ensuring stable and sustainable development of rural areas; (c) formation of agricultural commodities market; and (d) conservation of natural resources used for agriculture. Basic principles of regional agrarian policy shall be as follows: (a) accessibility and targeted orientation of state support of agriculture; (b) establishment of regional subsidy level for support of agriculture at no less than 6% of the regional budget annually; and (c) participation of associations of the producers of agricultural commodities in the formation of agrarian policy.
