This Regional Law enters into force 10 days after the date of its official publication.
Abstract

This Regional Law establishes that procurement and harvesting of non-timber forest resources by citizens for individual personal needs within established annual limits per person shall be performed free of charge and without any authorization. Citizens shall procure and collect the aforesaid resources without damaging forest resources, ensuring observance of forest fire safety and forest sanitary requirements, rules and regulations on reforestation and tending of forests. Harvesting of endangered, rare and protected non-timber forest species recorded in the Red Book shall be prohibited. Indigenous peoples shall be granted the right of procurement and harvesting of non-timber forest resources to the amount exceeding established annual limits free of charge. Annual limit of procurement of fuelwood per person free of charge shall be 50 kg.
