Abstract This Regional Law regulates relations in the sphere of institution, protection and management of areas of traditional nature management by indigenous peoples. It envisages traditional rights and traditional ways of nature management by indigenous peoples. Traditional nature management regards use of wild fauna and wild flora resources, and other natural resources by small ethnic communities of indigenous peoples. It includes the following activities: (a) reindeer breeding; (b) marine and inland fisheries; (c) hunting; and (d) equine breeding.
