This Regional Law enters into force 10 days after the date of its official publication.
Abstract

This Regional Law regulates procurement and collection of non-timber edible and non-edible forest resources and medicinal plants by citizens for individual personal needs. Citizens shall be granted the right to procure the aforesaid resources, except for spruce and other coniferous forest species for New Year celebrations, freely and free of charge. Procurement of edible and non-edible non-timber protected forest species, plants, mushrooms, nuts and berries shall be prohibited. Regional Governor can fix specific periods of procurement of non-timber forest species. Procurement of wood forage shall be authorized from shots and branches of hardwood and coniferous tree species. Procurement of birch juice shall be authorized from trees destined for timber extraction non sooner than 5 years before felling period.
