This Regional Law enters into force 10 days after the date of its official publication.
Abstract

This Regional Law establishes exceptional cases of timber extraction and procurement of non-timber products in accordance with purchase and sale contract of forest species in the following exceptional cases: (a) timber extraction in protection forests in the course of selective felling of mature and overmature growing stock on forest parcels non allotted on lease or in permanent (open-ended) management; (b) timber extraction in the process of prevention of environmental or technological disasters, or for mitigation of the consequences thereof; (c) timber extraction in the process of felling for construction of communications and utilities lines; and (d) timber extraction for supply of fir trees (spruces) and other coniferous forest species for New Year festivities in the period from 20 November to 25 December.
