Abstract This Regional Law regulates the issues of procurement of non-timber forest resources free of charge for individual personal needs. It shall be applicable to non-edible non-timber forest products. Citizens shall have the right to use hand tools and obtain information related to timber extraction from the authorized forestry institution. Procurement of woody forage shall be performed from felled trees in the process of selective (intermediate) and clear cutting. Felling of trees for the procurement of birchbark and tanbark shall be prohibited. Collection of birchbark shall be performed from dry stand, wind fallen trees and felled trees on felling sites all the year round.
