This Regional Law enters into force 10 days after the date of its official publication.
Abstract

This Regional Law regulates relations in the sphere of fishery management and conservation of aquatic biological resources, and it shall be applicable either to marine or to inland fisheries. Fishery management and conservation of aquatic biological resources shall be carried out as follows: (a) improvement and development of fishery legislation; (b) sustainable development of fisheries and conservation of aquatic biological resources; (c) rational management and stock enhancement; (d) fishfarming; (e) quality improvement of fish products; and (f) promotion of aquaculture. The following types of fisheries shall be authorized on the regional territory: (a) industrial fisheries; (b) coastal fisheries; (c) fisheries for scientific research, control and educational purposes; (d) fisheries for fishfarming, stock enhancement and acclimatization purposes; and (e) artisanal and sport fishing. State support of fisheries and conservation of aquatic biological resources shall be carried out in the form of partial compensation of credits and public subsidies.
