Abstract This Regional Law establishes legal, organizational and economic bases for organization and development of ecological education and formation. It shall be applicable also to ecotourism. Ecological education is a purposeful, continuous process of environmental education, upbringing and education at all levels of general and professional education, and vocational training in the frameworks of additional education, a set of acquired knowledge related to environmental protection, efficient use of natural resources and environmental security, as well as dissemination of environmental knowledge and information, aimed at the development of environmental culture and professional training of specialists in the field of environmental protection. Ecotourism is one of the directions of tourism activities in the region, aimed at organizing recreation and (or) environmental education, with a view of organizing recreation and/or environmental education, environmental upbringing, taking into account the adoption of the necessary measures to prevent and eliminate the negative impact on the environment. The system of ecological education includes: (a) educational programs aimed at the development of environmental educational programs and forming environmental culture; (b) federal and regional normative legal acts, including, including strategic planning documents containing provisions aimed at developing environmental education and forming environmental culture; (c) subjects of the system of environmental education and environmental culture development; (d) regional information resources established for the purpose of disseminating environmental knowledge and public environmental education.
