Abstract This Regional Law determines the main directions of state policy in the sphere of ensuring food security as an integral part of the regional economic security. The required regional food security shall be set at 80% of regional food production in relation to the demand of the regional population for food products calculated in accordance with physical nutritional norms. Food security shall be ensured through: (a) processing and manufacturing of the required amount of agricultural commodities and food; and (b) food quality control and food safety arrangements with a view of sustainable provision therewith of the regional population.
