Abstract This Regional law regulates some issues related to forest management originating from timber extraction by natural and legal persons, procurement of non-timber products, edible forest resources and medicinal plants, and also hunting management. Citizens shall have the right to timber extraction for heating, housing construction and repairs at the following rates: (a) for housing construction 25 cubic metres once in 50 years; (b) for repairs – 10 cubic metres once in 10 years; (c) for heating – 5 cubic metres annually; and (d) for other individual personal needs – 2 cubic metres annually. Timber extraction shall be carried out by citizens in accordance with forest management plan in the process of timber extraction intermediate and sanitary felling in accordance with purchase and sale contract of forest species concluded with state authorities. Felling of trees for procurement of non-timber products shall be prohibited. Hunting management shall be organized on forest parcels allocated on lease to hunting management organization.
