Abstract This Regional Law establishes modalities and rates of timber extraction by citizens for individual personal needs, harvesting and procurement of edible and non-edible non-timber forest resources, use of forests for hunting management, and puchase and sale of forest species in accordance with contracts. Rates of timber extraction for individual personal needs shall be established as follows: (a) for housing construction – 50 cubic metres once-only per family; (b) for repairs – 20 cubic metres once in 10 years; and (c) fuelwood for heating – 10 cubic metres annually. Felling of trees for procurement of non-timber forest resources shall be prohibited. Procurement of birch juice shall be authorized in mature forest stand no sooner than 5 years preceding timber extraction. Procurement of wild growing plants and edible non-timber forest products recorded in the Red Book of protected species shall be prohibited. Full text Russian Website regzakon.fpa.su
