Abstract This Regional Law establishes the rights and the duties of persons carrying out forest management for hunting purposes. Forest managers shall have the following rights: (a) to carry out biotechnical arrangements with a view to increase the number of wild fauna species; (b) to procure feed; (c) to improve forested land areas in accordance with forest plans; (d) to have access to information related to forest parcels conceded on lease for hunting management; and (e) keep and breed wild fauna species destined for hunting under semi-captive conditions (art. 1). Forest managers shall have the following duties: (a) use forest parcels allotted for hunting management in accordance with the acting legislation; (b) comply with terms and conditions of forest parcel lease contract; (c) carry out hunting management in accordance with forest development plan; (d) prevent environmental damages; (e) observe forest fire safety requirements; and (f) compensate damages caused to forestry by wild fauna species if their number exceeds the established limits (art. 2).
