Abstract This Regional Law establishes that the purposes of land protection shall be: (a) prevention of degradation, pollution, littering, disturbance of land and other negative impact on land and soil by economic activities; and (b) improvement, rehabilitation and reclamation of land subject to degradation, pollution, disturbance and other negative impact by economic activities. Expropriation of land in accordance with legislative provisions shall be authorized with a view of land conservation and prevention of negative impact on land and soil.
