Abstract This Regional Law establishes that citizens shall have the right for timber extraction of forest species for individual personal needs in accordance with purchase and sale contract of forest species for residential housing construction and heating. Timber extraction and logging shall be carried out within the period of validity of purchase and sale contract of forest species. In the process of timber extraction for individual personal needs citizens must: (a) comply with terms and conditions envisaged by purchase and sale contract of forest species; (b) prevent negative environmental impact; (c) prevent damage and destruction of precious tree species; (d) preserve trees that are not subject to felling; (e) carry out land clearing after felling; (f) not to leave uncut and holding wood; (g) conserve forestry marks; and (h) prevent leaving stumps higher than one third of diameter of severing cut.
