Abstract This Regional Law regulates relations in the sphere of ecological monitoring of air, soil, greenery, urban forests, waterbodies, fauna and flora, protected areas, subsoil, sources of anthropogenic impact, and natural phenomena. Ecological monitoring shall be performed by the authorized state executive body and specialized organizations. Regional Government shall have the following plenary powers in the sphere of ecological monitoring: (a) organization and performance of ecological monitoring; (b) environmental assessment; (c) registration of sources of negative environmental impact; and (d) use of information obtained as a result of ecological monitoring.
