Abstract The scope of this Regional Law shall be to protect the rights of the producers of agricultural commodities, supplying to wholesale food markets fruits, vegetables, grape, cucurbits crop, citrus fruits, flowers and seedlings of their own production, complying with quality and sanitary standards. Wholesale food market can be instituted by natural and legal persons, and also by local government. Authorization for organization of wholesale food market shall have the period of validity of 5 years. Wholesale trade of foodstuffs shall be carried out at contractual prices. Salesmen shall protect the interests of the producers of agricultural commodities. Wholesale food markets shall be subject to mandatory state registration.
