Abstract This Regional Law regulates legal relations in the sphere of fisheries and conservation of aquatic biological resources on the regional territory. Aquatic biological resources inhabiting ponds and open pits filled up with water owned by the regional public administration shall be considered public property (art. 7). Fishing areas and boundaries thereof shall be established by the competent regional fisheries institution (art. 8). Artisanal and sport fishing can be carried out by the citizens in common use waterbodies free of charge if otherwise is not envisaged by the federal legislation (art. 9).
