Abstract This Regional Law regulates relations in the sphere of pedigree stockbreeding and is aimed at conservation and further improvement of precious pedigree and reproductive qualities, and protection of genetic resources of pedigree stock. Pedigree stockbreeding practices shall be performed by organizations and by natural persons (peasant farms). Pedigree stockbreeding shall be classified as follows: (a) stud farms; (b) nucleus (farm); (c) organization for artificial insemination of stock; (d) embryo transfer organization; and (e) organization for pedigree practice, registration, control and supervision over productivity level and produce quality. Export and import of pedigree materials shall be performed in the presence of authorization issued by the competent state body in the sphere of pedigree stockbreeding.
