Abstract This Regional Law establishes that citizens shall have the right of free stay in forests for the purpose of procurement of edible non-timber forest resources (wild growing fruits, nuts, berries, mushrooms, seeds, wood juices etc.) and medicinal plants free of charge for individual personal needs. Stay of citizens on forests for procurement and harvesting of non-timber forest products can be restricted or prohibited in accordance with Forest Code. Sawing down, felling, cutting and other damaging of trees and shrubbery in the process of procurement of non-timber edible resources shall be prohibited. Picking of berries and seeds shall be carried out manually. Collection of birch juice shall be carried out in areas of mature forest. Full text Russian Website admin-smolensk.ru
