Abstract This Regional Law establishes the basis for state support of agro-industrial complex with a view of promotion of agricultural development, production of agricultural commodities, improvement of efficiency and competitive capacity thereof, formation of sustainable agrofood market and ensuring food security of the region. The following categories shall be granted state support: (a) producers of agricultural commodities; (b) organizations and individual entrepreneurs performing processing and trade of agricultural commodities; (c) storage and reprocessing of agricultural commodities; (d) pedigree stockbreeding; (e) land cultivation; and (f) small ethnic communities of indigenous peoples of the North.
