This Regional Law enters into force on the date of its official publication.
Abstract

This Regional Law regulates relations originating in the process of bee raising regarding honey bees (Apis mellifera), use thereof for pollination of agricultural entomophilous plants, obtaining apiculture products, protection of honey bees, improvement of apiculture efficiency and safeguarding rights and legal interests of natural and legal persons carrying out bee raising activity (art. 2). This Regional Law shall be applicable to natural and legal persons, irrespectively of organizational and legal form thereof, carrying out apiculture (art. 4). Number of bee families shall not be subject to limitation (art. 6). Owners can place apiaries on condition of compliance with veterinary and sanitary requirements regulating bee keeping (art. 7). Pollination of entomophilous plants shall be regulated by contracts concluded by the producers of agricultural commodities and owners of bee families (art. 9). State support to bee farmers shall be granted through compensation of expenditure for liquidation of bee diseases, preferential taxes, credits and subsidies (art. 14). State veterinary service shall carry out preventive arrangements for combating bee diseases (art. 20).
