Abstract This Regional Law determines operation of the regional state bodies for ensuring food security, regulates relations in the sphere of guaranteed provision of the population with foodstuffs and agricultural commodities safe for human health and ecofriendly. It applies the concepts of rational nutritional standards and economic and physical availability of foodstuffs. Food security shall be ensured by means of: (a) stability of regional food market; (b) monitoring of regional food market; (c) forecast of demand and supply of foodstuffs; (d) organization of food supply; (e) state support of agro-industrial sector; and (f) creation of conditions for supply, manufacturing and trade of high quality and safe foodstuffs.
