This Regional Law enters into force on the date of its official publication.
Abstract

This Regional Law delimits powers of the regional state authorities in the field of organization, protection and use of protected areas of regional significance. The powers of the Regional executive authority, exercising public administration and exercising regional powers in the field of organization, protection and use of protected areas of regional significance include: (a) public administration in the field of organization, protection and use of protected areas of regional significance; (b) ensuring the functioning of protected areas of regional significance, including informational, infrastructural, environmental education, environmental protection; (c) maintaining the state register of protected areas of regional and local significance; (d) coordination of activities, the implementation of which is planned within the boundaries of a protected area of regional significance, in cases established by federal law; (e) issuance of a building permit in case of implementation of construction, reconstruction of capital construction facilities within the boundaries of protected areas of regional importance in accordance with federal law; (f) issuance of a permit to put the facility into operation upon construction, reconstruction of capital facilities within the boundaries of protected areas of regional significance in accordance with federal law; (g) coordination of documentation on the planning of the territory, prepared for a protected area of regional significance; (h) preparation of a graphic description of the location of the borders of protected natural areas of regional significance in the coordinate system used for reference in the Unified State Register of Real Estate; and (i) exercise of other powers established by federal laws, the Statute of the Leningrad Region and other regional laws, as well as regulatory legal acts of the Regional Government.
