Abstract This Regional Law has as its purpose protection of public health and improvement of the functioning of public healthcare system. It establishes plenary powers of regional state bodies in the sphere of protection of public health. This Regional Law establishes the modalities of provision with complete additional nutrition free of charge of pregnant women, nursing mothers and children under three years of age. Expenditure for supply of the aforesaid nutrition and infant food shall be covered by the regional budget. Provision of pregnant women, nursing mothers and children under three years of age with complete and full-value nutrition shall be subordinated to issuance of medical certificate.
