This Regional Law enters into force on the date of its official publication.
Abstract

This Regional Law assigns the following powers to the Regional Legislative Assembly in the field of ensuring biological safety: (a) adoption of regional laws in the field of biological safety; and (b) implementation of other powers in accordance with federal and regional legislation. Regional Government shall have the following powers: (a) coordination of the activities of the regional state executive bodies in the field of ensuring biological safety; (b) participation in the planning and implementation of anti-epidemic, antiepizootic, antiepiphytotic measures; (c) participation in the monitoring of biological risks and in assessing the effectiveness of the implementation of activities, aimed at ensuring biological safety, on the regional territory; and (d) information of local governments and the population about the implemented on the regional territory of activities aimed at ensuring biological safety.
