Abstract This Regional Law regulates relations regarding timber extraction and procurement of non-timber edible and non-edible forest resources and medicinal plants by citizens for individual personal needs, ensuring the right of citizens to timber extraction for housing construction, fuelwood for heating and other individual personal needs in accordance with purchase and sale contract of forest species without allotment of forest parcels. Procurement of non-timber edible and non-edible forest resources and medicinal plants by citizens for individual personal needs shall be granted free of charge without any special authorization or permit. Felling trees and shrubbery in the process of collection of forestry seeds, wild growing fruits, berries, nuts and medicinal plants shall be prohibited. Collection of protected plants and mushrooms recorded in the Red Book of endangered and protected species shall be prohibited.
