Abstract This Regional Law establishes that citizens shall have the right of free stay in forests for the purpose of procurement of non-timber forest resources free of charge for individual personal needs with the consideration of conservation, protection and reproduction of forests. It shall be applicable to non-edible non-timber forest products. Procurement and harvesting of non-timber resources shall be carried out on felling sites. Procurement of fuelwood shall be carried out all the year round with the diameter of dry wood non exceeding 8 cm. Stay of citizens on forests for procurement and harvesting of non-timber forest products can be restricted or prohibited in accordance with Forest Code. Methods used for procurement and harvesting of non-timber forest resources must prevent exhaustion of available forest resources and ensuring timely reproduction thereof.
