Abstract This Regional Law establishes that citizens shall have the right of free stay in forests for the purpose of procurement of edible non-timber forest resources (wild growing fruits, berries, mushrooms, seeds, wood juices and, in particular, birch juice etc.) and medicinal plants free of charge for individual personal needs. Stay of citizens on forests for procurement and harvesting of non-timber forest products can be restricted or prohibited in accordance with Forest Code. Picking of berries shall be carried out manually. Collection of fruits and seeds shall be authorized in the period of full ripeness. Full text Russian Website www.gov.karelia.ru
