Abstract This Regional Law regulates keeping and updating regional Red Book of rare, endangered and protected wild flora and wild fauna species, ensuring conservation of biological diversity and genetic fund of rare species. Red Book shall be kept and updated by the authorized state regional institution in the sphere of wild flora and wild fauna management. Editions of Red Book shall be published once in 10 years. Listed species shall be identified by Russian and Latin names, classified in accordance with generally established categories of species, by category of rareness and area of population on the regional territory.
