Abstract This Regional Law delimits powers between state bodies in the field of veterinary. Regional Assembly shall perform the following powers: (a) adoption regional laws in the field of veterinary; and (b) implementation of other powers envisaged by federal and regional legislation. Regional Government shall perform the following powers: (a) participation in the implementation of federal arrangements on the regional level; (b) organization and implementation on the regional level of the arrangements for the prevention and liquidation of animal diseases, and cure of livestock; (c) protection of the regional population against diseases common to humans and animals; (d) supervision over the activity of veterinary specialists; and (e) determination the authorized state executive body in the field of veterinary.
