Abstract This Regional Law regulates relations originating in the process of bee raising regarding honey bees (Apis mellifera), use thereof for pollination of agricultural entomophilous plants and obtaining apiculture products (art. 1). The scope of this Regional Law shall be to create favourable conditions for raising, keeping and management of honey bees, conservation of bee genetic resources and meeting the demand of the regional population for apiculture products (art. 2). Each apiary shall be issued veterinary and sanitary certificate by the state veterinary institution (art. 8). State veterinary and sanitary institution shall carry out veterinary and sanitary testing of bee families imported to the region, keeping them under observation for the period of 30 days from the date of arrival with a view of identification of possible diseases. Bee keepers must immediately inform Chief state veterinary inspector of bee diseases or sudden death of bees (art. 9).
