Abstract This Regional Law establishes that principles of ensuring radiation safety of the population, including cases of nuclear disasters, shall be in conformity with guidelines set forth by the federal legislation. Radiation safety arrangements shall include sanitary and hygienic proceedings, information and education of the population. Radiation safety requirements related to treatment of sources of ionizing radiation, impact of natural radionuclides, radiation analysis in the process of manufacturing of foodstuffs and potable water consumption shall be applied as set forth by the federal legislation.
