Abstract This Regional Law establishes general, legal, economic, social, financial and common organizational principles of veterinary with a view of conservation of animal health, including fishes, wild animals, birds and bees, prevention of diseases common to animals and human beings. It establishes mandatory veterinary and sanitary requirements and types of veterinary supervision and inspection. Regional administration shall perform the following plenary powers: (a) organization and application of arrangements for prevention and liquidation of animal diseases, and veterinary care of animals; and (b) protection of the population and territory against animal diseases.
