Abstract This Regional Law regulates relations in the sphere of protection of the atmospheric air establishing plenary powers of the Regional Government and the authorized regional executive body in the aforesaid sphere. Regional Government shall have the following competence: (a) lawmaking; (b) participation in the implementation of state policy; (c) adoption of state programs; (d) organization and performance of state monitoring of the atmospheric air; (e) introduction of restrictions on the movement of motor vehicles in protected areas with a view of reduction of emissions from mobile sources; and (f) application of additional air quality standards. Authorized regional executive body shall have the following competence: (a) dissemination of the information related to air quality and air pollution; (b) supervision and control of air quality; and (c) establishment of air quality standards.
