Abstract This Regional Law regulates the issues of potable water supply and establishes state guarantees for the provision of consumers with potable water complying with potable water quality standards. Basic principles of potable water supply shall be: (a) state guarantees for priority water supply to citizens; (b) state regulation and state supervision of potable water supply; (c) safety and stability of potable water supply; (d) application of common water quality standards; (e) priority use of groundwater sources for potable water supply; and (f) payment and registration (metering) of potable water supply.
