Abstract This Regional Law delimits powers of the regional state bodies in the field of protection and management of wild fauna species, which are not classified as aquatic biological resources. Regional state executive body competent in the field protection and management of wild fauna species shall have the following powers: (a) publication of normative legal acts regulating relations in the field of protection and use of wild fauna species and their habitats, on issues of its competence; (b) elaboration and implementation of regional programs related to protection and reproduction of wild fauna species and their habitats; (c) state management in the field of protection and reproduction of wild fauna species; (d) participation in the implementation of international agreements of the Russian Federation in the field of protection and management of wild fauna species; (e) performance of wild fauna species within its competence; and (f) accounting.
