Abstract Regional water legislation shall regulate the issues of management and protection of waterbodies with a view of ensuring the right of citizens to freshwater, maintenance of optimal conditions of water management and quality of surface water and groundwater sources. All the waterbodies on the regional territory shall be classified as inland waters.
