Abstract This Regional Law establishes terms and conditions, and also the arrangements, for state support of traditional economic activities of small indigenous peoples of the North. State support shall have as its purpose protection of traditional way of life of small indigenous peoples of the North, traditional forms of economic activities and community management thereof, including reindeer ranching, hunting, fisheries and processing of furs if wild animal species. State support shall be granted in the following forms: (a) application of preferential taxation; (b) public investments; (c) concession of public credits; and (d) performance of environmental protection arrangements.
