Abstract This Regional Law assigns to local self-government state functions in the sphere of forest management. The following functions shall be transferred to local self-government: (a) allotment on lease forest parcels with area up to 10 ha for collection of edible and non-edible non-timber products and agro-forestry; (b) validation of rates of timber extraction for individual personal needs of citizens (except for timber extraction free of charge for particular listed categories); and (c) allotment of forest parcels covered by coniferous species on short-term lease for public and municipal needs.
